Others present were Kristin Newton, ADRC Administrator; Bob Rohret, HHS Director; Fay
Strenke, HHS Finance Manager; and Jackie Gordon, Disabilities Advocate & Caregiver
Wisconsin Council on Physical Disabilities.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1.Council on Aging and Disabilities Regular Meeting June 10, 20228:30 AM
Council Vice-Chair Brunner asked if there were any corrections, additions, or deletions to
the minutes. Council Vice-Chair Brunner approved the minutes as written.
RESULT: ACCEPTED
PUBLIC COMMENT
Council Vice-Chair Brunner opened the floor for public comment, hearing none, she proceeded
with the meeting.
BUSINESS ITEMS
1. Aging and Disability Resource Center Financial Reports
Fay Strenke, HHS Fiscal Manager, reviewed the financial report from July 2022. She
mentioned all revenue and expense look in line. Discussion followed.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
2. Presentation on Emergency Preparedness 'Go Bags' by Jackie Gordon, Wisconsin
Council on Physical Disabilities
Jackie Gordon with the Wisconsin Council on Physical Disabilities introduced herself to
the Council. She explained the Wisconsin Council on Physical Disabilities focuses on
items that will improve the quality of life for individuals with physical disabilities
Gordon provided a presentation regarding emergency procedures for those with
physical disabilities. Each Council member received a Go Bag. Discussion followed.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
3. Introduction of the New Elder Benefit Specialist
Administrator Newton informed the Council that Jennie Bowers has taken over the role
of Elder Benefit Specialist. Jennie has been with the county for 9 years and was an Adult
Protection Social Worker for prior to accepting the position as the Elder Benefit
Specialist.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
4. Home Delivered and Congregate Meal Six Month Statistics for 2022
Administrator Newton presented the six month statistics for Congregate and Home-
delivered meals for 2021 and 2022. Discussion followed.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
5. COVID-19 Update
Director Rohert mentioned the County website has been redesigned and the COVID
information has been relocated but has the same information. COVID has transitioned
from a pandemic to an endemic. St. Croix County Public Health still provides
vaccinations on Mondays from 2 pm to 4 pm by appointment. Testing is also available
on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:30 am - 11 am. Discussion followed.

REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
Council Vice-Chair Brunner asked if there were any requests for future agenda items. Some
suggestions were Limitless Cycling; Division of Vocational Rehabilitation; and Youth and
Transition.
ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE
ADRC Administrator Newton announced that registration is open for the annual Caregiver
Conference that will be held on September 23 at Northwood Tech in New Richmond.
Director Rohret mentioned he has been working on 2023 budget which will hopefully be
completed by end of August. The Health and Human Services Board meeting will be next
week and each division will start presenting.

Council Vice-Chair Brunner adjourned the meeting at 10:05 am

The date of the next meeting will be Friday, September 9, 2022 in New Richmond at the St. Croix
County Services Center.
