Evidence Based Decision Making Subcommittee of the Community Justice Collaborating Council – Regular Meeting – December 14, 2016 1:00 PM Minutes were accepted as presented. RESULT: ACCEPTED PUBLIC COMMENT BUSINESS ITEMS 1. Evidence Based Decision Making (EBDM) Subcommittee Mission Statement Discussed the evidence based implementation science model and specific steps. This is the process of implementing evidence-based programs and practices. Implementation is not the validation of evidence-based programs. Kimberly Kitzberger stated that we struggle with our system when trying to extract meaningful data. RESULT: DISCUSSED 2. St. Croix County Systems Map Discussion was held on the current St. Croix County Systems map and possible changes or additions. Mark Lemke recommended changes to the current map, specifically with the unified caseplan. Julie Krings suggested that we keep our systems map static so we don't have to continuously update it. Mark Lemke will ask for a copy of Eau Claire's systems map and Susan Capparelli will send us the map from Pierce County. Included in our systems map we should have a decision point where we reevaluate risk. RESULT: DISCUSSED 3. Subcommittee Membership & Next Steps Discussion was held on the next steps. One area of focus should be on the current systems map and implementation of evidence based principles. The current map should be sent to Mark Lemke and Liesl Neslon for review. RESULT: DISCUSSED REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE ADJOURN The meeting was adjourned at 1:40 p.m. DATE OF NEXT MEETING The next meeting will be Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at 1:00 p.m., Government Center, room 1216.
