980 COMMITTEE

Call to Order: Health and Human Services Director Fred Johnson called the meeting to order.
Roll Call: Health and Human Services Director Fred Johnson, Behavioral Health Administrator Steve Kirt,
Community Development Planning and Land Administrator Brett Budrow, Division of Correction Supervisor Mark
Lemke, by phone-State of WI Supervised Release Specialist Mick Chase, Assistant Corporation Counsel Liz Rohl
Public Comment: No public comment
1) 980 Committee Membership Designation
The Statute sets forth who must be present for these meetings. All required members must be present
and imust send a designee who meets the criteria of your position.
2) Election of 980 Committee Chair
Nominations were requested for Chair of the 980 Committee. Community Development Planning and
Land Administrator Brett Budrow nominated Assistant Corporation Counsel Liz Rohl, this was seconded
by Division of Correction Supervisor Mark Lemke. Assistant Corporation Counsel Liz Rohl nominated
Behavioral Health Administrator Steve Kirt, no second.
A vote was taken and Assistant Corporation Counsel (CC) Liz Rohl was elected as Chair of the 980
Committee.
3) Election of 980 Committee Vice Chair
Nominations were requested for Vice Chair of the 980 Committee. Division of Correction Supervisor Mark
Lemke nominated Behavioral Health Administrator Steve Kirt, this was seconded by Community
Development Planning and Land Administrator Brett Budrow.
A vote was take and Behavioral Health Administrator Steve Kirt was elected as Vice Chair of the 980
Committee.
4) Review of 980 Committee Responsibilities
The responsibilities were reviewed by committee members.
5) Residential Option Planning in St. Croix County for person on Supervised Release
Serious child sex offender
The residence has to be handicap accessible, but further details will be discussed in closed session.
Asst. CC Liz Rohl and Brett Budrow from community development will start looking for potential
residences.
Behavioral Health Administrator Steve Kirt will connect with the Aging and Disability Resource Center
(ADRC) to see if they know of any handicap-accessible options available.
6) Future 980 Committee Meeting Schedule
Monday, September 24 at 8 a.m.; location to be determined.
Closed session: To discuss medical issues and the impact on residential options.
Reconvene in open session
Request for Future Agenda Items: Nothing at this time.
Announcements & Correspondence: Nothing at this time.
Adjourn: This September 11, 20218 meeting was called adjourned by Chair Rohl at approximately 2:00 p.m.
