HomeMy WebLinkAbout10-01-2018 980 Committee Minutes MINUTES 980 COMMITTEE October 1, 2018 8:30am Conference Room # 1216 1101 Carmichael Road, Hudson, Wisconsin Call to Order: Chair Rohl called this meeting of the 980 Committee to order at approximately 8:30 a.m. Roll Call Member Attendance Present Assistant Corporation Counsel Liz Rohl-Chair Present Behavioral Health Administrator Steve Kirt-Co Chair Division of Correction Supervisor Present Mark Lemke Community Development Planning and Land Present Administrator Brett Budrow State of WI Supervised Release Specialist Present by Phone @8:30 Mick Chase Others in attendance: Natalie Volz Department of Corrections Division of Community Corrections, Recorder Colleen Linder Approval of Minutes: After review of the 980 Committee Sept. 24, 2018 minutes, a motion was made by DOC Supervisor Mark Lemke to approve the minutes as submitted and a second was made by Behavioral Health Administrator Steve Kirt. A voice vote taken and minutes approved. Public Comment: No Public Comment Agenda Items: 1) Report on Residential Options in St. Croix County for Person on Supervised Release options for the supervised release. Kirt reported on results of his reaching out to several landlords of the rental properties. He informed the group that he had no real success, but will continue to pursue. Chair Rohl will start process to reach out to the list of property owners for homes listed for sale. She will also look for any new properties listed. Discussed the guidelines of boundaries of the property. a. If necessary, the committee may convene in closed session pursuant to Wis. Stats. §19.85(1)(f). No closed session 2) Discuss vendor options and the possibility of utilizing a realtor The Committee discussed the potential of the various types of properties and if they are even feasible. Will discuss the need for this after reaching out to the various properties and see what feedback we get. 3) 980 Committee Meeting Schedule: The group determined to allow time for follow up work to be done that the meetings would be scheduled every 2 weeks unless something urgent comes up. The next meeting will be held on October 15, 2018 @ 8:30 a.m. in Room 1216 of the Government Center, Hudson. Request for Future Agenda Items: Follow up on findings from properties Announcements & Correspondence: A Motion to adjourn was made by Behavioral Health Administrator Steve Kirt and was seconded by Community Development Planning and Land Administrator Brett Budrow. Meeting called adjourned by Chair Rohl at approximately 8:43 am. A quorum of the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors (County Board) may be present at this meeting. Therefore, this notice also serves as notice of a meeting of the County Board for the purpose of obtaining information relating to subjects listed above for use at future County Board meetings.
