HomeMy WebLinkAbout11-16-2018 980 Committee Minutes MINUTES 980 COMMITTEE November 16, 2018 9:00 am Conference Room # 1216 1101 Carmichael Road, Hudson, Wisconsin Call to Order: Vice Chair Kirt called this meeting of the 980 Committee to order at approximately 9:00 a.m. Roll Call Member Attendance Assistant Corporation Counsel Absent Liz Rohl-Chair Behavioral Health Administrator Present Steve Kirt-Vice Chair Division of Correction Supervisor Present Mark Lemke Community Development Planning and Land Present Administrator Brett Budrow State of WI Supervised Release Specialist Present by Phone @ 9:00 Mick Chase Others is Attendance: Natalie Volz Department of Corrections Division of Community Corrections, Recorder Colleen Linder Approval of Minutes: After review of the minutes from Oct. 29, 2019, a motion was made by Division of Correction Supervisor Mark Lemke to approve minutes as submitted and Community Development Planning and Land Administrator Brett Budrow made a second. A voice vote was taken and all approved. Public Comment: No Public Comment Agenda Items: 1) Report on Residential Options in St. Croix County for Person on Supervised Release Behavioral Health Administrator/ Vice-Chair Steve Kirt reported that law enforcement went out and viewed the property in Emerald that is under consideration by the committee as a potential residence. Law enforcement is saying that there are not any children in adjacent homes. Next steps will be that Vice-Chair Kirt and a Social Worker will meet with the realtor at the property and look for handicap accessibility. a. If necessary, the committee may convene in closed session pursuant to Wis. Stats. §19.85(1)(f). No Closed Session 2)Discuss vendor options The Committee discussed that the State, when the time comes, will be involved with the vendors. State of WI Supervised Release Specialist Mick Chase reports he does have an updated vendor list that he will get to the 980 Committee. One of the new vendors is very interested. 3) Discuss law enforcement report/involvement: Nothing to report 4)980 Committee Meeting Schedule: November 30, 2018 @8:30 Room 1216, Hudson Government Center. Request for Future Agenda Items: NA Announcements & Correspondence: NA Adjourn: Division of Correction Supervisor Mark Lemke made a motion to adjourn the meeting, which was seconded by Community Development Planning and Land Administrator Brett Budrow. Vice Chair Steve Kirt adjourned the meeting at approximately 9:12 a.m. A quorum of the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors (County Board) may be present at this meeting. Therefore, this notice also serves as notice of a meeting of the County Board for the purpose of obtaining information relating to subjects listed above for use at future County Board meetings.
