HomeMy WebLinkAbout11-30-2018 980 Committee Minutes MINUTES 980 COMMITTEE November 30, 2018 8:30 am Conference Room # 1216 1101 Carmichael Road, Hudson, Wisconsin Call to Order Roll Call Member Attendance Present Assistant Corporation Counsel Liz Rohl-Chair Present Behavioral Health Administrator Steve Kirt-Vice Chair Division of Correction Supervisor Absent Mark Lemke Community Development Planning and Land Present Administrator Brett Budrow State of WI Supervised Release Specialist Present by Phone @ 9:00 Mick Chase Others in attendance: Hannah Black from the Hudson Observer. Approval of Minutes: Approve minutes from November 16, 2018. After review of the minutes from November 16, 2018, a motion was made by Brett Budrow to approve minutes as presented and a second was made by Steve Kirt. A voice vote was taken and all approved. Public Comment: No Public Comment Agenda Items: 1) Report on Residential Options in St. Croix County for Person on Supervised Release Kirt reported that, along with Bonnie Edlund, an Adult Protection worker, he viewed the th property at 2253 170 Ave, Emerald, WI. He presented pictures of the property, which were then emailed to Mick Chase, and viewed by the committee. Kirt believed the home with a limited amount of funds and effort the property could be renovated to make it handicap accessible. The p carpeting, new septic and a new well pump. Liz also stated she would begin work on the report to the court regarding activity. Mick advised that the report focus on the property unless it falls through. a. If necessary, the committee may convene in closed session pursuant to Wis. Stats. §19.85(1)(f). 2) Discuss vendor options The committee agreed the property information should be forwarded to a vendor provided by Mick Chase for review and possible purchase. Committee Chair, Liz Rohl volunteered to forward property info to the vendor, and will ask him to contact Mick. DOC also needs to send Mick an email, stating that they think the location is not an issue for placement 3) Discuss law enforcement report/involvement The SCC Sheriff department already investigated and found there were no children living on adjacent properties. 4) 980 Committee Meeting Schedule Request for Future Agenda Items N/A Announcements & Correspondence N/A Adjourn: Brett Budrow a made motion to adjourn the meeting and was seconded by Steve Kirt. Meeting adjourned at 9:05am. A quorum of the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors (County Board) may be present at this meeting. Therefore, this notice also serves as notice of a meeting of the County Board for the purpose of obtaining information relating to subjects listed above for use at future County Board meetings.
