UNFINISHED BUSINESS
New Richmond Dining Site: Of the 520 surveys distributed to
New Richmond area seniors, only 34 were returned. With
duplication of responses taken into account, 29 preferred to
obtain meals at a community center, 13 preferred a restaurant
option, and 2 preferred church halls. The majority of the
respondents noted that meal service at the senior center two
days a week at noon was their preference.
Information regarding the two restaurant program options was
mailed to restaurants in the New Richmond area. Two
restaurants have responded to date. Continuing meals 2 days a
week at the center in conjunction with the development of a
restaurant program is being considered. The New Richmond
van would continue to provide transportation to meals. The
responsibilities of the nutrition program and the senior centers
were clarified.
The next scheduled meal hosted by the New Richmond Senior
Center Board at the New Richmond Site is October 9 h .
