GENERAL PROVISIONS - OF THE ST. CROIX COUNTY CODE OF
ORDINANCES
1 The County Board of Supervisors of the County of St. Croix does ordain as follows:
3 WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors enacted Chapter 1 — Citation
4 Ordinance No. 236(89) in October 1989; and
6 WHEREAS, Chapter 1 was repealed and recreated to reflect statute and ordinance
7 updates through Ordinance 839(2016) in January 2016; and
8
9 WHEREAS, Chapter 1 was amended with new chapters that had been approved and old
10 chapters that had been repealed since 2016, and was renamed as Chapter 1 — Citations and
11 General Provisions by Ordinance No. 949(2025) in April 2025; and
12
13 WHEREAS, an additional amendment is required to update Section 1.08 related to the
14 deposits for Chapters 11 through 21 to contain the language, "See Community Development
15 Department Forfeiture Schedule."

17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the St. Croix County Board of
18 Supervisors that the attached amended Chapter 1— Citations and General Provisions is hereby
19 enacted.

21 BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the amended Chapter 1— Citations and General
22 Provisions — of the St. Croix County Code of Ordinances shall be published by the County Clerk,
23 pursuant to Wis. Stat. § 59.14, and will become effective upon publication. This ordinance shall
24 be codified.
