CALL TO ORDER
Miller called the meeting to order at 3:33pm.

1.County Library Planning Committee – Regular Meeting – September 14, 2017 3:30

Motion to approve by Achterhof, 2nd by Coleman. Carried unanimously.

BUSINESS ITEMS
1.Library updates
Miller provided the February 2018 Librarians' Report. Discussion regarding a
presentation at the May 1, 2018 County Board meeting. Krueger and Coleman will co-
present.

2.Google calendar for library events
Miller provided instructions for creating and sharing calendars. Discussion regarding a
link via the County website. Target date to complete this project is April 1st. Miller will
notify the area library directors. Discussion regarding follow-up.

3.County plan of service for 2019-2022
Discussion regarding updating the Plan of Library Service. Miller distributed copies of
the 2015-2018 plan. Discussion regarding WI Statutes and the County Board vote
regarding Hudson Area Joint Library. Board members are to review, and submit any
revisions, additions or suggestions and the plan will be placed on the September meeting
agenda.

4.Suggestions to fill County Library Planning Committee vacancies
Discussion regarding filling vacancies due to Nancy Miller's retirement in May and
Esther Wentz's death last fall. Discussion regarding representation from areas county-
wide. Nancy will send an email to libraries asking for large library suggestions and
citizen member suggestions.

September 13th in Roberts. 3:30pm

ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE
Miller announced this is her last County Library Planning Committee meeting. Ostness
congratulated Miller on her retirement. Brief discussion regarding the City of Glenwood
Library.
