All members introduced themselves. County Board Vice Chair Dave Ostness arrived at 4:25pm. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 1.County Library Planning Committee – Regular Meeting – February 8, 2018 3:30 PM Motion by Achterhof, 2nd by Coleman to approve. Carried unanimously. RESULT:ACCEPTED PUBLIC COMMENT None BUSINESS ITEMS 1.Election of Chair and Vice Chair Motion by Achterhof, 2nd by Norris to elect Krueger as Chair. No other nominations. Carried unanimously. Motion by Achterhof, 2nd by Norris to elect Coleman as Vice Chair. No other nominations. Carried unanimously. RESULT:APPROVED [UNANIMOUS] MOVER:Judy Achterhof, Supervisor SECONDER:Tina Norris, Library Director-Hudson AYES:Judy Achterhof, Krissa Coleman, Tina Norris, Barbara Krueger, Dennis Duckworth, Katie Wendt EXCUSED:Roy Sjoberg 2.Library Plan Review Review of current Library Plan and discussion regarding revisions to be implemented into the 2019-2022 Plan; Krueger stated the area Librarians have provided input. Numerous revisions were suggested including grammatical corrections and consistency issues. It was suggested to add page numbers and listings for the county libraries, current County Library Planning committee members and Hudson Area Joint Library communities. Discussion regarding WI State Statutes language. Discussion regarding inserting information from the Plan for the report to the County Board. Discussion regarding IFLS and the proposed name change from Indianhead Federated Library System (IFLS) to IFLS Library System with tag line of Inspiring Facilitating Library Success. An updated draft of the 2019-2022 Plan will be provided to committee members prior to the next meeting. RESULT:DISCUSSED 3.Library Presentation - October County Board Meeting Brief discussion regarding the report to the County Board in October. Chair Krueger provided a handout and indicated she will present a short video highlighting what libraries have done in 2017. Vice Chair Coleman indicated she will also attend the meeting. Motion by Duckworth to forego discussion on this and forward this presentation to the County Board; motion withdrawn. Due to time restraints the committee was unable to discuss the remaining agenda items. Motion by Coleman, 2nd by Norris to table the remaining agenda items to the next meeting. Carried unanimously. Next meeting is set for October 11, 2018 at 3:15pm. RESULT:DISCUSSED 4.Review of committee accomplishments Tabled to next meeting.
