CALL TO ORDER
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1. St. Croix County Transit Commission – Regular Meeting – June 21, 2018 10:00 AM
RESULT: ACCEPTED
PUBLIC COMMENT
Ramsey Lee and Peg Scott spoke about transportation issues in St. Croix County.
BUSINESS ITEMS
1. Discuss Duties and Responsibilities of the St. Croix County Transit Commission
Scott Cox reviewed the State Statues regarding the duties of the Transit Commission.
Some of these duties include plan, operate and maintain a local unified transportation
system. Cox noted it is the County Board that authorizes funding and spending.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
2. Finalize Request for Information and Press Release
Peg Gagnon shared the press release which will be sent out to various papers and web
sites.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
3. Review Available Types of Transportaton for Residents of St. Croix County
Brad Beckman reviewed the transport programs available for St. Croix County
residents. YMCA has purchased a van for member transport. Phil Landgraf spoke about
the Transit issues for the Veterans.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
4. Prioritize Transit Needs
The Transit Commission reviewed and listed the top priorities: Request for Information;
Coordinate groups that are available to assist; Contract and grant writing; Determine
if the Commission should operate as a working commission or hire a facilitator;
Contact industries to buy in/participate; Inventory vehicles; Insurance research;
Research Uber, Luft or other transport companies
RESULT: DISCUSSED
5. Discuss Audio and Video of Transit Commission Meetings
Scott Cox reviewed what is required for Committees being recorded. The County Board
room is the only County Government building at this time to be able to video record the
meetings.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
Finalize video, audio and locations for Transit Commission meetings
Invite Uber, Lyft transportation providers

Blake Fry announced his resignation due to moving out of State.
