BUSINESS ITEMS
1. ALICE Overview with Peter Kilde, WESTCAP
Peter Kilde shared ALICE (Assset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) information as
well as various program available through WESTCAP.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
2. Review Dunn County Transit with Dolly Catlin
Dolly Catlin gave an overview of the Dunn County Transit System. This system provides
transit for the City of Menomonie and UW-Stout. Four routes run daily and are available
to anyone wishing to ride. A Door to Door service is also available for riders needing
more assistance. Approximately 100,000 people ride the busses annually.

3. Update Regional Transit with Larry Jepson, Polk County Supervisor
Larry Jepson shared the struggles the residents of Polk County have with lack of available
transportation. He encouraged research on regional transit programs.

4. Overview from Human Resource Network Representatives
Emily Issacson and Ashley Mova shared information about long term care programs,
transportation, monthly expenses and funding for IRIS and CARE-WI-FAMILY CARE.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
5. Review Center for Independent Living for Western WI Inc. Transit with Denise Larson
Denise Larson provided information about the Center for Independent Living in Western
Wisconsin . The Center has become a national model advocating full participation in
society for all persons with disabilities.

6. Review Boyd's Car Service with Aaron Boyd, Owner
Aaron Boyd shared information about his company, Boyd's Car Service. This is a service
for Divisional Vocational Rehabilitation Riders. The riders are on a set schedule.

7. Request for Information Update
The Transit Committee extended the Request for Information deadline date to
December 31, 2018.

Chair Ostness announced the resignation of Julie Bergstrom.
Peg Gagnon provided information about the St. Croix County Locally Developed
Transportation Coordination Plan.
