Collaborating Council – Regular Meeting – July 12, 2017 12:00 PM

BUSINESS ITEMS
1. Review Subcommittee Priorities
Reviewed and discussion was held on the areas of Trauma Informed Care and substance
abuse treatment. There is a need to develop focused interventions.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
2. Review Subcommittee Workplan
Discussion was held on Trauma Informed Care (TIC) presentations and what further
information this subcommittee may need in this area. Discussed TIC in the adult system
with an emphasis on prevention, education, and intervention. Substance abuse; discussed
the need to gather information on treatment options that are currently available in county
and surrounding areas, what gaps exist and how do we know there are gaps, why is there
a discrepancy between WI and MN? There is a need to develop and implement a survey
for partners to determine what they believe are service gaps.
