APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1. Substance Abuse & Trauma Informed Care Subcommittee of the Community Justice
Collaborating Council – Regular Meeting – August 9, 2017 12:00 PM
Fred Johnson made a motion to accept the minutes, Roger Larson seconds, motion was
approved unanimously.

PUBLIC COMMENT
BUSINESS ITEMS
1. Subcommittee Membership Review
Fred Johnson gave a breakdown of the proposed bylaw changes. Discussion was held on
voting membership on each CJCC Subcommittee and would like to see all subcommittee
members have voting rights.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
2. Treatment Survey Update
Lisa Multhauf states the survey for available treatment options is complete but needs to
be reviewed by Joan Sprain before presented to this group. Once it is reviewed it will be
brought forward for review.

3. Current Treatment Options
Lisa Multhauf states she is working on a list of treatment options with Kristin DePrey.
Jeremy Davis states he is working on an outpatient treatment program and it is going
through the State certification process. It will focus on relapse prevention and could
potentially be offered to juveniles. He states he is currently doing AODA assessments.
This subcommittee continues to address gaps in treatment services. The list will be ready
for the next meeting.

4. Local Statistics on AODA Issues
Lisa Multhauf gave a breakdown of unnatural deaths that was incorporated into the
Treatment Alternatives and Diversion (TAD) Grant proposal. Kimberly Kitzberger states
a data analyst position would be able to assist with data collection in this area. Once a
data analyst is hired will they be attending subcommittee meetings. We need to stay more
solution focused as a group.

5. Review Trauma Informed Care Presentation by Julie Krings
Fred Johnson stated that review work in this area is done by Julie Krings. She presented
to the CJCC Council on this subject and provided overview information. We should
continue to work with HHS on a broader view and probably don't need to bring in Julie
again. We will continue to look for funding for trauma informed care, but will have to
think about what to do with the information we collect.

REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE
Kimberly Kitzberger gave an update on the proposed OWI track within the Adult Drug Court
Program. Lisa Multhauf announed that Mark Carey will be presenting on Evidence Based
Practices on December 8, 2017 at the Government Center - 2 sessions. This is being paid for by
the TAD Grant.
