UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
WIS Tech proposal to provide low interest loans to persons with
disabilities to purchase new or used assistive technology devices. Wanda
Viellieux did not have much success on obtaining any detailed information
on this. Kitty Rhoades and one of her assistarits will find and forward the
information they have on this proposal. This committee will discuss at
next meeting and decide if LTS Committee will support the proposal.

4f - NEW BUSINESS:
At
Guest Speaker: State Representative Kitty Rhoades discussed long term care issues
and the Biennial Budget. Topics of discussion included but were not limited to nursing
home reimbursement rates, budget increases and long range goals, budget highlights
and other areas of interest of this committee.
Financial Report: Report of expenses for January through May 2001 was presented.
All program expenses are on target.
Variance & Purchase Requests: Ron Lockwood presented the committee with a COP
High Cost Funds request for a wheel chair lift modification to a van that will support a
gentleman with physical disabilities to be able to ride in the van. Motion to approve the
purchase request by Peterson; second by Bayer; carried unanimously.
Calendar Year 2002 budget: Ron Lockwood distributed the first draft of the budget
request that will be presented to the HSB on Tues. 8/14/01. Please call Ron if there are
any questions on this.
Department on Aging Report: Sandra Gehrmann was excused early. Noted by other
members of the group was that the New Richmond Senior Center closed due to a lack
of volunteers.
LTS waiting list policy: This is for your information only; no action is needed.
Motion made to adjourn by Peterson, second by Palewicz. Motion carried.
