MINUTES
PLANNING, ZONING AND PARKS COMMITTEE
ST. CROIX COUNTY GOVERNMENT CENTER, HUDSON, WI
June 18, 2001
Present were supervisors Ron Raymond, Linda Luckey, Art Jensen, Buck Malick and
Gerald Larson. Staff Joe Grant, Deb Kathan, Dave Larson, and Chuck Whiting
Chairman Raymond called the meeting to order at 9:10 a.m. Luckey moved, seconded by
Jensen and carried, to adopt the agenda.
Various possibilities for organizing the Parks Department to deal with Homestead
Parklands and other responsibilities were discussed.
Larson moved, seconded by Malick and carried, to not recommend moving the park
function to a different committee.
Malick moved, seconded by Jensen and carried, to request two new positions. Malick
moved, seconded by Raymond, and carried to have Deb Kathan and Joe Grant write three
position descriptions, consistent with the last organization chart sketched on the board,
for review at the next meeting: a parks administrator, a parks superintendent and a parks
foreman.
Jensen moved, seconded by Larson and carried, to adjourn at 12:00.
