MINUTES
St. Croix County Planning, Zoning and Parks Committee
May 30, 2001
St. Croix County Government Center, Hudson, Wisconsin
Committee members present: Supervisors Ron Raymond, Linda Luckey, Art Jensen, Gerald
Larson and Buck Malick. Staff present: Chuck Whiting, Joe Grant, Dave Larson. Other: Linda
Jameson.
Chairman Raymond called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. A motion was made by Jensen,
seconded by Larson and carried to adopt the agenda.
The Committee reviewed the report of consultant Kelly Cain, then discussed the preferred
organization under the topics:
1. Department reports to
2. Geographical structure
3. Organization of executive /administration and location
4. Vision of future, budgets, citizen support and new parks,
A variety of options were discussed. Grant offered his forecast of staffing needs.
Whiting is to prepare a department head position description. Grant is to refine a bare bones
staffing proposal.
Organization of the park function will be taken up on the June 12 agenda.
