CHAPTER 14, ST. CROIX COUNTY ZONING CODE
REGULATING NONMETALLIC MINING OPERATIONS

WHEREAS, the County is authorized to enact regulations for nonmetallic mining
operations and the reclamation of nonmetallic mining sites pursuant to the authority granted by
Ch. 295, Subchapter I and by Sec. 59.69 Wisconsin Statutes; and
WHEREAS, it is desired to replace the present nonmetallic mining and reclamation
ordinance (Ord. No. 226(89)) with Chapter 14, attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the Planning, Zoning and Parks Committee held a public hearing on
November 5, 2003, relating to proposed Chapter 14.
THEREFORE, the County Board of Supervisors hereby enacts Chapter 14, which
supersedes Ord. No. 226(89). Chapter 14 shall become effective upon its publication.

2004.
