RESOLUTION NO. `( 3 (ab{) (i)
ST. CROIX COUNTY, WISCONSIN
WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Highway Department maintains a long range facility improvement plan to
promote the greatest efficiency of operations; and
WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Transportation Committee has determined that, to ensure effective, efficient
operations from it's Deer Park facility, with increasing maintenance demands in the area, facility improvements will
be necessary in the near future; and
WHEREAS, the Highway Commissioner has researched available land in the area and located parcel(s) that would
be beneficial in both location and cost; and
WHEREAS, funds for the purchase of this land would be solely derived from Highway Department Machinery Fund
with no additional impact on the County budget.
THEREFORE, be it resolved that the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors authorizes the Transportation
Committee to secure options and purchase said land that it determines to be in the best interest of the County to
maintain efficient, effective highway operations not to exceed $100,000 as is, plus the cost of driveway, driveway
easement, and site improvements.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Highway Department is authorized to enter into a binding agreement in the
name of St. Croix County to sell existing Highway Department facilities and to retain any revenue derived from the
sale of existing Highway Department facilities as a part of the Department's Machinery Fund to help offset the
expenses associated with a new facility and again minimize any impact on the general County budget process. Any
deed needed to transfer title to an existing Highway Depat ttnent facility will be signed by the County Board Chair
and County Clerk.
