IN THE INDIANHEAD FEDERATED LIBRARY SYSTEM
RESOLUTION NO. 7 (
St. Croix County, Wisconsin
WHEREAS, St. Croix County participates in the Indianhead Federated Library System
(IFLS), a public library system organized under Wisconsin Statutes sec. 43.19(1)(b) whose
members are the counties of Barron, Chippewa, Dunn, Eau Claire, Pepin, Pierce, Polk,
Price, Rusk and St. Croix; and
WHEREAS, IFLS is managed by a system board; and
WHEREAS, the system board consists of at least one representative from each system
county appointed by the respective county board; the number of representatives from each
county is based on the population of that county; and
WHEREAS, IFLS is not included in the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors Rules and
By -Laws Article IV, Section D, Sub - committees, Organization and Agencies, which lists
entities other than standing committees (elected and appointed committees) in which the
County participates; and
WHEREAS, the St. Croix County representative(s) on the system board should be treated
the same as a non - supervisor on an appointed committee under Article VI, Section C.5.,
which allows a non - supervisor serving as a member of an appointed committee to receive a
per diem; and
WHEREAS, the St. Croix County representative(s) should be entitled to expense
reimbursement under the County Travel Policy identified in Article II, Section D of the
Board of Supervisors Rules and By -Laws.
THEREFORE, be it resolved by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors that, in
recognition of the foregoing, the Board of Supervisors Rules and By -Laws be amended as
follows:
Add to Article IV, Section D, Sub - committees, Organizations and Agencies, the
following:
9. Indianhead Federated Library System (IFLS) Members appointed
Parent Committee: Administration pursuant to Wis. Stats.
sec. 43.19(1)(b).
Member of IFLS board are entitled to per diem Number of members is
