CENTER TELEPHONE SYSTEM TO EMERGENCY
COMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT

ST. CROIX COUNTY, WISCONSIN
WHEREAS, St. Croix County owns and operates a PBX telephone system that serves the
St. Croix County Government Center; and
WHEREAS, management of the telephone system, including purchasing equipment,
installing equipment and paying recurring monthly charges, is performed by multiple
county departments; and
WHEREAS, more consistent and efficient operation of the system can be accomplished
by placing management of the system in one department; and
WHEREAS, the Emergency Communications Department is familiar with telephone and
other communications equipment, and is capable and willing to manage the system and
plan for future improvements or replacement of the system.
THEREFORE, be it resolved by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors that the St.
Croix County Emergency Communications Department is hereby assigned management
of the PBX telephone system and any future telephone systems in the St. Croix County
Government Center.
