HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions 2003 (10) RESOLUTION SELECTING FINANCING METHOD FOR THE MAINTENANCE BUILDING FOR HOMESTEAD PARKLANDS Resolution No. it) (.2603) St. Croix County, Wisconsin WHEREAS, St. Croix County developed a new day -use county park called Homestead Parklands on Perch Lake; and, WHEREAS, Homestead Parklands was developed to provide resource protection and recreational opportunities to serve the growing population in St. Croix County; and, WHEREAS, a maintenance building was a planned and integral component of the overall park plan and will serve a dual purpose as storage for park equipment and temporary registration station for staff and park users; and, WHEREAS, the maintenance building was considered by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors to be included as a component of the borrowing pool in the 2003 budget; and, WHEREAS, the Planning, Zoning and Parks Committee on February 11, 2003 unanimously voted to accept a bid from Bauman Construction in the amount of $34,258.00 and allow the Parks Department to spend up to but not exceed the $40,000.00 budgeted , with the additional monies to be used for shaping and surfacing between the park road and the maintenance building and, WHEREAS, the Finance Committee on March 13 voted to recommended that the money for the maintenance building for Homestead Parklands be borrowed from the St. Croix County building fund in an amount not to exceed $40,000.00; THEREFORE, be it resolved that the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors hereby authorizes the borrowing of $40,000.00 from the Building Fund for the construction and site preparation of the maintenance building for Homestead Parklands on Perch Lake.
