COMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT

St. Croix County, Wisconsin
WHEREAS, St. Croix County has received bids for the installation of microwave
communications equipment; and
WHEREAS, the bids have been reviewed by: Gary Kollman, St. Croix County Emergency
Communications Director; St. Paul Radio Maintenance, a unit of the St. Paul, Minnesota Police
Department; and the St. Croix County Emergency Management and Communications Committee; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the lowest responsible bidder is Hams Corporation,
Microwave Communications Division, which submitted a bid of $1,068,110; and
THEREFORE, be it resolved that the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors awards the contract
for installation of microwave communications equipment to the Harris Corporation in the amount of
$1,068,110.00
FURTHER, be it resolved that all documents necessary to initiate and complete this project be
negotiated and /or prepared and that the Chair of the Board of Supervisors and the County Clerk sign
documents needing signatures.
This resolution is an amended version of a resolution offered by the Emergency Management
and Communications Committee. The original resolution is attached. The amended resolution
was duly adopted by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors on May 20, 2003.

WHEREAS, St. Croix County has received bids for the installation of microwave
communications equipment; and
WHEREAS, the bids have been reviewed by: Gary Koliman, St. Croix County Emergency
Communications Director; St. Paul Radio Maintenance, a unit of the St. Paul, Minnesota Police
Department; and the St. Croix County Emergency Management and Communications Committee; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the lowest responsible bidder is Harris Corporation,
Microwave Communications Division, which submitted a bid of $1,488,486; and
WHEREAS, the Emergency Management and Communications Committee recommends
acceptance of the Harris Corporation bid.
THEREFORE, be it resolved that the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors awards the contract
for installation of microwave communications equipment to the Harris Corporation in the amount of
$1,488,486.00
FURTHER, be it resolved that all documents necessary to initiate and complete this project be
negotiated and/or prepared and that the Chair of the Board of Supervisors and the County Clerk sign
documents needing signatures.
