RESOLUTION AMENDING ST. CROIX COUNTY /l
EMERGENCY OPERATIONS PLAN

WHEREAS, on September 22, 1992, the Board of Supervisors adopted the St. Croix
County Emergency Operations Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Emergency Operations Plan establishes government practices and
procedures in the event of a wide -scale emergency; and
WHEREAS, the extent of the authority of the chair of the Board of Supervisors in an
emergency situation pending an emergency meeting of the Board of Supervisors is not
stated clearly enough in the Emergency Operations Plan, where "Annex A (Direction and
Control), sec. III.A.4. now reads:
4. Direct other county agencies as appropriate.
WHEREAS, it is desirable to amend "Annex A (Direction and Control), sec. III.A.4., to
clarify that the chair of the Board of Supervisors may commit personnel, equipment and
supplies, and incur the expenses for such personnel, equipment and supplies on behalf of
the county, in an emergency situation prior to an emergency meeting of the board of
supervisors.
THEREFORE, be it resolved by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors that the St.
Croix County Emergency Operations Plan, Annex A, sec. III.A.4. be amended to read as
follows:
4. Direct other county agencies, as appropriate, to provide personnel,
equipment and supplies pending an emergency meeting of the
Board of Supervisors.
