RESOLUTION APPROVING EASEMENT
TO DAIRYLAND POWER COOPERATIVE FOR
COMMUNICATION TOWER
Resolution No. 4b (OC,L3)
St. Croix County, Wisconsin
WHEREAS, the St. Croix County emergency communications system is being upgraded;
and
WHEREAS, the construction of a communications tower on the Agriculture Services and
Education Center site in Baldwin was approved as part of the upgrade; and
WHEREAS, Dairyland Power Cooperative, LaCrosse, Wisconsin, has a need for a
communications tower in the Baldwin area and has offered to construct a 230 foot tower
for use by it and the county and assume most of the cost of construction; and
WHEREAS, an easement to Dairyland Power Cooperative from the St. Croix County
Board of Supervisors authorizing the construction and maintenance of the
communications tower is necessary; a copy of the proposed easement is attached; and
WHEREAS, a letter dated August 26, 2003 to Gary Kollman, St. Croix County
Emergency Communications Director, from Kurt D. Childs, Dairyland Power
Cooperative, contains additional provisions relating to the construction of the
communications tower; a copy of that letter is attached to this resolution.
THEREFORE, be it resolved by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors that the
Easement for Communication Tower Site between St. Croix County and Dairyland
Power Cooperative attached to this resolution is approved.
FURTHER, be it resolved that the Chair of the Board of Supervisors, the County Clerk,
and the Administrative Coordinator execute the easement document and acknowledge the
terms of the August 26, 2003 letter on behalf of St. Croix County.
