BE USED FOR STATE NURSING HOME COSTS
RESOLUTION NO. 3 ( o o �>
ST. CROIX COUNTY, WISCONSIN
WHEREAS, the State of Wisconsin was recently notified that it will receive $483 million
in new federal Medicaid funds for nursing homes; and
WHEREAS, Sheboygan County, Washington County and Manitowoc County have
worked with the Governor's Office to secure additional federal funding for nursing
homes in Wisconsin; and
WHEREAS, St. Croix County operates a nursing home and has several privately -owned
nursing homes located within its boundaries; and
WHEREAS, nursing home operational costs consistently exceed State and federal
reimbursement; and
THEREFORE, be it resolved by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors that it adopts
the position that the State use the anticipated $483 million of federal Medicaid funds only
for nursing home reimbursement.
