COMMUNITY SUPPORT PROGRAMS SOCIAL WORKER
RESOLUTION NO. (c 6 6 /
St. Croix County, Wisconsin
WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has the
responsibility under Wisconsin Statutes chapter 51 to provide community support services; and
WHEREAS, it is unlawful to have a waiting list for eligible Medicaid recipients; and
WHEREAS, the responsibilities are being performed by a temporary, part-time position; and
WHEREAS, HHS has secured State grant funds which, in combination with revenue from clients
(payments from insurance companies, Medicare, Medicaid, etc.), allows this position to exist at
no cost to the County; and
WHEREAS, this position will sunset if State grant money and revenues from clients fail to cover
the cost of the position, estimated to presently be $87,381 (includes fringe benefits) unless the
County Board takes action to retain the position; and
WHEREAS, the State grant is $48,211; the client revenues shall be at least $39,170; and
WHEREAS, this position has been unanimously approved by the Health and Human Services
Board, the Personnel Committee and the Finance Committee.
THEREFORE, be it resolved by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors that the position of
Community Support Programs Social Worker is approved on the condition that the position
sunsets if State grant money and revenues from clients fail to at least equal the cost of the
position or the Board of Supervisors takes action to retain the position.
