WHEREAS, the County and AFSCME Human Services Professional Union Local 576 -A
were unable to negotiate a final collective bargaining agreement; and
WHEREAS, the State of Wisconsin utilizes interest arbitration to resolve all collective
bargaining impasses between the County and County collective bargaining units; and
WHEREAS, an arbitrator recently ruled in favor of the County and incorporated the
County's Final Offer on all unresolved issues into the collective bargaining agreement; and
WHEREAS, Wisconsin Statutes require that all collective bargaining agreements
involving county employees be approved in open session.
THEREFORE, be it resolved by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors that the
collective bargaining agreement between St. Croix County and AFSCME Human Services
Professional Union Local 576 -A for the period January 1, 2000 through December 31, 2002 is
hereby approved.
