St. Croix County, Wisconsin
WHEREAS, a vacancy exists in the office of County treasurer; and
WHEREAS, Wisconsin Statutes §17.21 provides that a vacancy in that office shall be
filled by appointment by the county board for the remainder of the term; and
WHEREAS, Cheryl Slind won election to the office of County Treasurer on November 5,
2002; and
WHEREAS, Treasurer -elect Slind is willing to be appointed to fill the vacancy now
existing in the office of County Treasurer, and the Finance Committee recommends such
appointment; and
WHEREAS, the wages for the office for December, 2002 would be $3,644.42.
THREEFORE, be it resolved by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors that Cheryl
Slind is hereby appointed to the office of County Treasurer to serve the remainder of the present
term.
