ROAD AT HOMESTEAD PARKLANDS AT PERCH LAKE

WHEREAS, construction of the entrance road at Homestead Parklands at Perch
Lake began in 2000; and
WHEREAS, decisions were made to postpone completion of the road, scheduled
for the fall of 2000, until mid -2001, resulting in increased costs to this component of the
park project; and
WHEREAS, additional costs already incurred and additional costs to be incurred
are estimated at $85,000; and
WHEREAS, the Finance Committee has evaluated this situation, considered
options, and recommends:
1. Payment of costs exceeding the budgeted amount be paid;
2. Payments be made as presented by "borrowing" from the 2001 Budget
General Fund, up to $85,000; and
3. The 2002 Budget include an amount equal to the "borrowed" amount
to replenish the 2002 General Fund.
THEREFORE, be it resolved by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors that
the payment of additional costs of the Homestead Parklands at Perch Lake project are
authorized as set out above.
