HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions 2000 (43) RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING USE OF MARKSENSE VOTING SYSTEM Resolution No. 4/3 (a a- - ) St. Croix County, Wisconsin WHEREAS, the County Clerk desires to use an automated ballot and vote counting system; and WHEREAS, the system to be used is the Marksense system, which consists of a machine at each municipality's voting location that tabulates votes as made and then transmits the vote totals to the County Clerk; and WHEREAS, the machines costs $5,500 each; approximately 30 machines are anticipated being used; to encourage use of the machine the County will initially pay one -half the cost of a machine and the municipality will pay the other half; within 1 year the municipality will pay the County the balance of the purchase price; total initial County outlay would be $82,500. THEREFORE, be it resolved by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors that the Marksense voting system is approved under the terms presented above.
