RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CONVEYANCE
OF TAX - DEEDED LAND TO THE CITY OF HUDSON

St. Croix County, Wisconsin
WHEREAS, title to a parcel of land located in the City of Hudson has been obtained by
St. Croix County by tax deed; and
WHEREAS, the parcel of land is legally described as:
A parcel of land located in the City of Hudson, more particularly described as
follows: Commencing at the NE corner of Lot 8, Massey's Addition, thence NW
along the S right -of -way of St. Croix Street to the shoreline of the Willow River,
then S along said shoreline to the NW corner of said Lot 8, thence E along N line
of said Lot 8 to point of beginning; and
WHEREAS, the parcel of land is located on or near the St. Croix River and is
contaminated with hazardous waste; and
WHEREAS, the City of Hudson would like to obtain title to the parcel and is willing to
remediate (clean -up) the parcel so it can be added to its system of walking trails; and
WHEREAS, Wisconsin Statutes section 75.69(2) allows the County to convey the parcel
of land to a municipality without appraising or publishing a notice of sale relating to the parcel;
and
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest to convey the parcel of land to the City of Hudson
at no cost to the city in exchange for its commitment to remediate the property and convert it to
public use.
THEREFORE, be it resolved that the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors approves
the conveyance of this parcel of land described above to the City of Hudson at no cost to the city
in exchange for its commitment to remediate the property and convert it to public use, and directs
the Board Chair and the County Clerk to execute and deliver a deed for this parcel to the City of
Hudson.
