COORDINATOR AS THE Y2K PREPAREDNESS COORDINATOR FOR COUNTY -WIDE
ACTIVITIES
RESOLUTION NO.
WHEREAS, Y2K events have the potential to create an emergency or
disaster for the citizens and municipalities of the County, such
as utility and computer - related failures; and
WHEREAS, the safety and well -being of the citizens and
municipalities is the primary concern of the St. Croix County
Board of Supervisors; and
WHEREAS, the County Y2K Team developed through contingency
planning, a Preparedness Plan that was approved by the State of
Wisconsin's Department of Administration and will continue to
evaluate and plan responses to Y2K events; and
WHEREAS, Emergency Government develops emergency and disaster
plans and assists municipalities in developing their emergency
and disaster plans;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the St. Croix County Board of
Supervisors, that the County Administrative Coordinator be the
Coordinator for Y2K preparedness and that Emergency Government
continue to assist municipalities and County Departments with Y2K
plan development as needed.
