St. Croix County, Wisconsin
WHEREAS, St. Croix County is in the process of finalizing its operating budget for the
year 2000; and
WHEREAS, it is essential that the County know the amounts the State will provide to
fund certain programs, such as shared revenue, community and youth aids, transportation aids,
library aids, etc., to enable the County to establish program funding and set a levy; and
WHEREAS, the State of Wisconsin has not yet adopted the biennial budget for 1999-
2001.
THEREFORE, be it resolved by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors that it urges
the State legislature and Governor Thompson to adopt and sign into law the biennial budget for
1999 -2001 so that St. Croix County can complete its budget preparations on schedule.
FURTHER, be it resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded by the County
Clerk to the members of the Wisconsin legislature representing St. Croix County and to
Governor Thompson.
