St. Croix County, Wisconsin
WHEREAS, Cedar Lake in St. Croix and Polk Counties is valued by area residents and
visitors for its recreational and scenic qualities; and
WHEREAS, Horse Creek is within the Polk County portion of the watershed of Cedar
Lake and the water quality in Horse Creek directly affects water quality in Cedar Lake; and
WHEREAS, Horse Creek has been identified as a Priority Watershed by the Wisconsin
Department of Natural Resources; and
WHEREAS, the Polk County Board of Supervisors is submitting a Priority Watershed
Plan for Horse Creek for approval by the Wisconsin Land and Water Conservation Board;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the St. Croix County Board of
Supervisors support the Horse Creek Priority Watershed Plan.
