CROIX COUNTY ac Resolution No. St. Croix County, Wisconsin WHEREAS, following each decennial federal census of population, each county board in Wisconsin must propose a tentative county supervisory district plan setting forth the number of supervisory districts and tentative boundaries or a description of boundary requirements, hold a public hearing on the proposed plan, and adopt a tentative plan; and WHEREAS, St. Croix County is presently divided into 31 county supervisory districts; and WHEREAS, for management, efficiency, and economic reasons it is deemed advisable to reduce the number of county supervisory districts from 31 to 21 (which would be effective with the 2002 election). THEREFORE, be it resolved by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors that St. Croix County be divided into 21 county supervisory districts based on the 2000 federal census and effective with the 2002 County supervisors election; FURTHER, be it resolved that, following Wisconsin Statutes sec. 59.10(3), the St. Croix County Board propose a tentative county supervisory district plan setting forth 21 supervisory districts and tentative boundaries or a description of boundary requirements, hold a public hearing on the proposed plan, adopt a tentative plan, and follow the remaining statutory requirements for establishing the final county supervisory districts plan.
