HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 1999 (41) Postponed pcs inc. RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE ' /Ylrc *`h Sao, ST. CROIX COUNTY DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT PLAN RESOLUTION NO. St. Croix County, Wisconsin WHEREAS, the preparation of a county development plan by the Planning, Zoning and Parks Committee for the physical development of the unincorporated territory within the county is authorized and required by s. 59.69(3), Wisconsin Statutes; and WHEREAS, a project Steering Committee of county, town and municipal officials was established by the County Board to guide the preparation of the County development plan and advise the Planning, Zoning and Parks Committee; and WHEREAS, an extensive process of public participation, including a county-wide survey, workshops, open houses, informational meetings, public hearings and public notices, was used to solicit and consider the diverse opinions of citizens, property owners, organizations and local officials throughout the county; and WHEREAS, the West Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission provided technical assistance for plan design, background studies, trends analysis, projections, mapping and policy development; and WHEREAS, the State of Wisconsin, particularly through its Depai tinents of Transportation and Natural Resources, provided significant financial and technical support; and WHEREAS, based on many meetings and an extensive review and discussion of the background information, technical assistance and public input, the project Steering Committee recommended a proposed County Development Management Plan to the Planning, Zoning and Parks Committee; and WHEREAS, the Planning, Zoning and Parks Committee, after holding public hearings, made some limited revisions to the Plan based on public hearing comments. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors approves and adopts the St. Croix County Development Management Plan as presented by the Planning, Zoning and Parks Committee. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that duplicate copies of the plan shall be certified by the County Clerk and sent to each municipal clerk in the county.
