HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2012 (07) I RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING TOTAL ANNUAL COMPENSATION FOR ELECTED 2 OFFICIALS, PURSUANT TO WIS. STATE. § 59.22, 3 FOR THE YEARS 2013 THROUGH 2016 4 5 Resolution No. _7(a01-1) 6 7 St. Croix County, Wisconsin 8 9 WHEREAS, pursuant to Wis. Stat. § 59.22(1), the County Board must establish the total 10 annual compensation for services to be paid to county elected officials (other than supervisors 11 and circuit judges) prior to the earliest time for filing nomination papers for the county elective 12 office; and 13 14 WHEREAS, the County Board desires to establish the total annual compensation for 15 county elected officials, which is separate and distinct from the fringe benefits offered by the 16 County to elected officials, and which fringe benefits are subject to increase or decrease during 17 the elected official's teen at the discretion of the County Board and in accordance with state and 18 federal law; and 19 20 WHEREAS, as part of the County's fringe benefit program, county elected officials may 21 participate in the Wisconsin Retirement System in accordance with state law; and 22 23 WHEREAS, as part of the County's fringe benefit program, county elected officials may 24 elect to receive health insurance coverage under the same terms and conditions as the health 25 insurance coverage offered to non-represented managerial county employees; and 26 27 WHEREAS, the County Administrator evaluated the total annual compensation of the 28 elected officials and recommended that the compensation be established as below with a 1.5% 29 increase each year: 30 31 Position 2013 2014 2015 2016 32 33 County Clerk $61,915.00 $62,844.00 $63,787.00 $64,744.00 34 Register of Deeds $61,915.00 $62,844.00 $63,787.00 $64,744.00 35 County Treasurer $61,915.00 $62,844.00 $63,787.00 $64,744.00 36 37 and 38 39 WHEREAS, the Administration Committee has reviewed the request of the elected 40 officials and the recommendation by the County Administrator. 41 42 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors, 43 that the total annual compensation for county elected officers under Wis. Stat. § 59.22(1) shall be 44 as follows, effective on the first day of a tern of office that begins after the date of this 45 Resolution: 46 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING TOTAL ANNUAL COMPENSATION FOR ELECTED OFFICIALS, PURSUANT TO WIS. STATS. §59.22, FOR THE YEARS 2013 THROUGH 2016 - Continued 47 Position 2013 2014 2015 2016 48 49 County Clerk $63,625.00 $63,625.00 $63,625.00 $63,625.00 50 Register of Deeds $63,625.00 $63,625.00 $63,625.00 $63,625.00 51 County Treasurer $63,625.00 $63,625.00 $63,625.00 $63,625.00 52 53 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors that the 54 aforementioned county elected officials are entitled to participate in the Wisconsin Retirement 55 System in accordance with law and the County shall pay only its share of contributions required 56 by law, pursuant to Wisconsin Statute Chapter 40; and 57 58 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors that the 59 aforementioned county elected officials are entitled to participate in St. Croix County's health 60 insurance program subject to the terms and conditions of the program, which may be modified 61 from time to time, under the same terms and conditions as the health insurance coverage offered 62 to non-represented managerial county employees. 63 64 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors that the 65 above recommendations are adopted.
