ON SQUAW LAKE
Resolution No. a 11
St. Croix County, Wisconsin
WHEREAS, Squaw Lake, in the town of Star Prairie, provides
recreational boating opportunities to the public; and
WHEREAS, there is a need to develop a public boat landing to
enhance the recreational boating opportunities; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Natural Resources and /or the
Wisconsin Waterways Commission will provide technical and financial
assistance to the project; and
WHEREAS, a sufficient sum has been budgeted to complete the
project; and
WHEREAS, the County must agree to: comply with State and
federal rules relating to the project; maintain the completed
project in an attractive, inviting and safe condition; keep the
landing open to the general public during reasonable hours; and
obtain approval in writing from the Wisconsin Waterways Commission
before any change is made in the use of the project site.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board
of Supervisors that the development of a public boat landing on
Squaw Lake is hereby approved;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County will comply with the
conditions set forth above;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County hereby authorizes Chuck
Christenson, County Conservationist, to act on behalf of the County
to: submit an application to the Wisconsin Waterways Commission
for financial assistance; sign necessary documents; and undertake
management of the project during and after construction.
