FOR DAM BREACH STUDY

WHEREAS, it has become necessary to conduct a dam failure analysis for the dams
located in the Glen Hills Watershed; and
WHEREAS, four of the dams (structures 1, 2, 3 and 11) were initially identified for
analysis and a contingency fund transfer of $36,500 was approved by the Finance Committee; and
WHEREAS, this contingency fund transfer complied with sec. 65.90(5)(b), Wis. Statutes,
which allows the Finance Committee to approve transfers of up to 10% of a departments budget.
WHEREAS, it is now desired to analyze two other dams (structures 7 and 8), the cost of
which exceeds 10% of the budget of the Land and Water Conservation Department.
WHEREAS, the cost of analysis of structures 7 and 8 is $27,700.
THEREFORE, be it resolved by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors that the
expenditure of $27,700 for analysis of structures 7 and 8 in the Glen Hills Watershed is hereby
approved;
FURTHER, be it resolved that the County Clerk publish a class 1 notice of this approval
within 10 days.
