ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 17 ST. CROIX COUNTY LAND USE ORDINANCE REZONING LAND FROM AGRICULTURE TO AG.- RESIDENTIAL REZONING LAND FROM AGRICULTURE 30 AG-I1 ORDINANCE NO. 6 / 6 WHEREAS, the Statutes of the State of Wisconsin provide for a Planning and Development Committee to act in all matters pertaining to county planning and zoning; and WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Board has established the St. Croix County Planning, Zoning and Parks Committee; and WHEREAS, at the request of the County Board this Committee is to review petitions, hold public hearings, and present its recommendations for rezoning requests to the County Board for action; and WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Planning, Zoning and Parks Committee held a public hearing on the rezoning request of RAYMOND AND PAMELA JOHNSON on March 27, 2002 in the St. Croix County Agriculture Center in Baldwin, Wisconsin; and WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Planning, Zoning and Parks Committee having considered all written information and verbal testimony presented at the hearing, and finding that the request meets the requirements of Wis. Statute 91.77, voted to approve a rezoning of the following described land: SEE ATTACHED (2 parcels; Ag to Ag /Res and Ag to Ag -II) Based on the following findings: 1. The land is in the rural planning area and is an appropriate use. 2. The site is heavily wooded with some open pasture land and some crop land. There is an existing home in the northeast corner of the site. 3. The whole parcel has slight to sever limitations for Private Onsite Wastewater Treatment (POWTS). The owners have parked the site and found one additional building site in the southeast corner. 4. The land around the parcel is zoned ag residential to the north and east and exclusive ag to the west and south. 5. The site is located on a town road. 6. The proposed use of the land is one three -acre home site for a family member and one 32+ acre hobby farm with the existing home site. 7. The Town Board reviewed the rezoning and recommended approval with §91.77 findings. The request meets the Planning Commission plan for the Town of Eau Galle. THEREFORE, BE IT NOW ORDAINED by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors, meeting in regular session, that the 3.001 -acre parcel is now rezoned from Agriculture to Ag.- Residential and the 32.664 -acre parcel be rezoned from Agriculture to Ag -I1.
