AUTHORIZING PAYMENT OF DUES

St. Croix County, Wisconsin
WHEREAS, in 1992 the Wisconsin Counties Association and Governor Thompson's
administration developed a program to bring international tourism to Wisconsin, expand business
markets internationally, and encourage economic development throughout the state; and
WHEREAS, a part of the program was the creation of the International Trade, Business
and Economic Development Council (ITBEC), a public - private sector partnership of business
leaders, elected county officials, and tribal representatives; and
WHEREAS, in 1995 the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution
11(95) supporting County participation in the proposed West Central ITBEC; and
WHEREAS, in 1995 there were no membership costs to counties desiring to participate in
an ITBEC; and
WHEREAS, dues have now been established based on equalized value for county
membership in an ITBEC; and
WHEREAS, St. Croix County's dues have been set at $10,708.00 for 1998. '

THEREFORE, be it resolved by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors that the
County continue its membership in the West Central ITBEC and authorizes payment of dues for
1998 in the amount of $10,708.00
