TO THE WISCONSIN LAND INFORMATION PROGRAM

WHEREAS, 1989 Wisconsin Acts 31 and 339 established the Wisconsin Land Information
Program, authorized County Land Information Offices and Plans, and established local and state
funding for land records modernization; and
WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors, by Resolution #26(92), adopted
a County Land Information Plan and designated the County Planning Department as the County
Land Information Office; and
WHEREAS, the County Land Information Office, in cooperation with related County
departments, has conducted a number of projects to implement the County Land Information Plan
with locally retained County land records funds; and
WHEREAS, the Wisconsin Land Information Program has grants -in -aid of up to $100,000
available to further implement the County Land Information Plan;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors
authorizes the County Planning Department/Land Information Office to submit a state grant
application to the Wisconsin Land Information Program for projects that are consistent with the
County Land Information Plan.
