St. Croix County, Wisconsin
WHEREAS, requests for new and upgraded positions have been reviewed
by the Finance and Personnel Committees; and
WHEREAS, the Committees recommend approval of the following new and
upgraded positions as listed herein;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board of
Supervisors that the list of new and upgraded positions be and are
hereby approved as recommended.

Funding Source: this is an income - generating position
although County property tax dollars would also be necessary;
a breakdown of costs has not been submitted at this time

Funding Source: the Public Protection Committee has directed
that the Sheriff's Department seek federal- funding grants for
these three deputy positions. These positions were approved
with the understanding that a juvenile officer position would
be created from the existing staff. The Sheriff has estimated
that the three -year COUNTY costs (property tax) for these
positions would be:
1997: $99,051
1998: $68,037
1999: $93,479
This would mean that part of the wage and benefit costs for
these positions would be supplemented by federal grant
dollars. The federal grant would not pay for initial
equipping of the officers, squad cars, or overtime costs.
These are estimates only.
The following position was approved and recommended to the County
Board by the Personnel Committee; it was reviewed and sent to the
County Board without recommendation from the Finance Committee:
