INTERGOVERNMENTAL TRANSFER PROGRAM BE RETURNED TO THE
COUNTY NURSING HOME
RESOLUTION 10 (95)
St. Croix County
Whereas, reductions in the funding of the State Medicaid Program in
regard to county nursing homes may cause further tax levies, and
Whereas, the losses St. Croix County Nursing Home experiences are
eligible for reimbursement through the Intergovernmental Transfer
Program (ITP) and
Whereas, the State is claiming the losses of all County Nursing
Homes in order to obtain full Federal reimbursement under the
Medicare Upper Limit and
Whereas, the State is returning only a portion of these County
dollars to counties and
Whereas, the return of these dollars would assure against having
future tax levies.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that St. Croix County go on record
and insist that the State of Wisconsin return all monies claimed
under the Intergovernmental Transfer Program and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the State maximizes the amount to be
claimed up to the Medicare Upper Limit.
