STUDY OF OPTIONS FOR LIBRARY FUNDING AND STRUCTURE
Resolution S`!SJ.
St. Croix County, Wisconsin
WHEREAS, In November 1994, the St. Croix County Board of
Supervisors, by adoption of the 1995 budget, approved a study of
library services and funding in St. Croix County; and,
WHEREAS, As a 13- member committee was formed representing all
geographic areas of the County and a variety of constituencies;
and,
WHEREAS, As the committee studied two major questions:
1. How can adequate and equitable library
funding be achieved in St. Croix County?
2. Does the present library Structure provide
a vehicle for achieving adequate and equitable
funding? Or should it be changed? If so,
how?
AND, WHEREAS, The study has been completed and recommendations
were developed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the St. Croix County Board
of Supervisors that the attached study be referred to the County
Finance Committee;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Finance Committee review the
plan and develop recommendations for implementation;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the County Finance Committee
present the implementation plan to the County Board of Supervisors
for adoption no later than the May County Board session 1996.
