CROIX COUNTY LAND USE ORDINANCE REZONING LAND FROM AGRICULTURE T AG. -R SIDENTIAL ORDINANCE NO. 5 7 3 ( CO I WHEREAS, the Statutes of the State of Wisconsin provide for a Planning and Development Committee to act in all matters pertaining to county planning and zoning; and WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Board has established the St. Croix County Planning, Zoning and Parks Committee; and WHEREAS, at the request of the County Board this Committee is to review petitions, hold public hearings, and present its recommendations for rezoning requests to the County Board for action; and WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Planning, Zoning and Parks Committee held a public hearing on the rezoning request of LESLIE A. COOK on November 19, 2000 in the St. Croix County Government Center in Hudson, Wisconsin; and WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Planning, Zoning and Parks Committee having considered all written information and verbal testimony presented at the hearing, and finding that the request meets the requirements of Wis. Statute 91.77, voted to approve a rezoning of the following described land: A parcel of land located in part of the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter and part of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter all in Section 15, Township 31 North, Range 19 West of the Town of Somerset, St. Croix County, Wisconsin, this being that land described in a Warranty Deed recorded in Volume 515 page 27 in the Register of Deeds Office in said County, described as follows: Commencing at the South Quarter corner of Section 15; thence, on an assumed bearing along the south line of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 15, North 89 degrees 13 minutes 41 seconds West a distance of 310.04 feet to the point of beginning of the parcel to be described; thence, continuing along last said south line and the following being along the exterior of the above said property in said Warranty Deed, North 89 degrees 13 minutes 41 seconds West a distance of 1014.14 feet; thence North 00 degrees 23 minutes 14 seconds West a distance of 2666.27 feet, more or less, to the east/west Quarter line of said Section 15; thence, along last said Quarter line, South 89 degrees 26 minutes 46 seconds East a distance of 1022.84 feet; thence South 00 degrees 11 minutes 55 seconds East a distance of 2670.00 feet to the point of beginning. Containing 62.38 acres. Subject to all easements, restrictions and covenants of record. Based on the following findings: 1. The Town of Somerset recommends approval of the request. 2. The Town and County confirmed that the request is compliant with §91.77. 3. The request meets the spirit and intent of the County Plan. 4. The proposed parcel is surrounded by ag /residential development. 5. The proposed parcel is not identified on the potentially productive agriculture map and is not being farmed at the present time. 6. The proposed parcel is not identified on the environmental corridor map. 7. There was no opposition to this request. THEREFORE, BE IT NOW ORDAINED by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors, meeting in regular session, that the parcel is now rezoned from Agriculture to Ag: Residential.
