ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 17
ST. CROIX COUNTY LAND USE ORDINANCE
REZONING LAND FROM AGRICULTURE TO A .- RESIDENTIAL
ORDINANCE NO. 5 '6 ( o a 1
WHEREAS, the Statutes of the State of Wisconsin provide for a Planning and
Development Committee to act in all matters pertaining to county planning and zoning; and
WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Board has established the St. Croix County Planning,
Zoning and Parks Committee; and
WHEREAS, at the request of the County Board this Committee isto review petitions, hold
public hearings, and present its recommendations for rezoning requests to the County Board for
action; and
WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Planning, Zoning and Parks Committee held a public
hearing on the rezoning request of BRUCE V. AND PAMELA EMERSON on March 7, 2001 in the
St. Croix County Agriculture Center in Baldwin, Wisconsin; and
WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Planning, Zoning and Parks Committee having
considered all written information and verbal testimony presented at the hearing, and finding that
the request meets the requirements of Wis. Statute 91.77, voted to approve a rezoning of the
following described land:
SEE ATTACHED
Based on the following findings:
1. The Town of Star Prairie has recommended approval of the rezoning request.
2. The proposed use of the land for a church fits the policies of the County Plan.
3. The request is compatible with the surrounding land uses.
4. The parcel is not identified on the potentially productive agriculture map.
5. The parcel is not identified on the primary environmental corridor map.
6. There were no objections to the request.
7. The Town and the County have certified that the provisions of §91.77 have
been met.
8. The existing church is being taken through the State Roadway Condemnation action. The
PZP Committee encourages staff to work closely with the applicant to get this rezoning,
CSM and special exception application reviewed and approved as expeditiously as possible.
THEREFORE, BE IT NOW ORDAINED by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors, meeting in
regular session, that the parcel is now rezoned from Agriculture to Ag- Residential.
