ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 17 ST. CROIX COUNTY LAND USE ORDINANCE REZONING LAND FROM AG /RESIDENTIAL TO AGRICULTURE ORDINANCE NO. 5 q 5 Ca a s 1) WHEREAS, the Statutes of the State of Wisconsin provide for a' Planning and Development Committee to act in all matters pertaining to county planning and zoning; and WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Board has established the St. Croix County Planning, Zoning and Parks Committee; and WHEREAS, at the request of the County Board this Committee is to review petitions, hold public hearings, and present its recommendations for rezoning requests to the County Board for action; and WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Planning, Zoning and Parks Committee held a public hearing on the rezoning request of GALEN AND MILDRED ANDERSON on January 17, 2001 in the St. Croix County Agriculture Center in Baldwin, Wisconsin; and WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Planning, Zoning and Parks Committee having considered all written information and verbal testimony presented at the hearing, voted to approve a rezoning of the following described land: A parcel of land located in the Northeast' /. of the Northeast'/ of Section 32, T29N, RI6W, Town St. Croix County, Wisconsin, more fully described as follows: Commencing at the Northeast corner of said Section 32; thence West (assumed bearing on the North line of the Northeast of said Section 32) a distance of 521.46' to the Point of Beginning of the parcel to be herein described; thence S 01°07'00" E, 654.72'; thence West 446.98'; thence NO2 °38'09" W, 655.29' to a point on the North line of the Northeast'/. of said Section 32; thence, along said North line, East, 464.35' to the Point of Beginning, containing 6.848 acres or 298,277 square feet, being subject to an easement for town road purposes over the Northerly 33.00' thereof, and subject to any other easements, covenants or restrictions of record. Based on the following findings: 1. The Town of Baldwin recommends approval of the request. 2. The land is in the rural planning area and is an appropriate use. 3. The parcel will be combined with an existing farm of 170 acres. A significant portion of this farm is found on the potentially productive agriculture map. 4. The parcel is not identified on the primary environmental corridor map. 5. The proposed use of the land fits the policies of the County Plan. 6. The request generally conforms to the County Plan. 7. The land is currently cropped. 8. There were no objections to the request. 9. The surrounding land uses include large lot residential and traditional farms. THEREFORE, BE IT NOW ORDAINED by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors, meeting in regular session, that the parcel is now rezoned from Ag /Residential to Agriculture.
