WHEREAS, requests for new and upgraded positions have been reviewed by the
Personnel Committee and Finance Committee; and
WHEREAS, the committees jointly recommend approval of the new and upgraded
positions as listed on the attached;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board of
Supervisors that the attached list of new and upgraded positions be and are hereby approved
as recommended.

1994 NEW OR UPGRADED POSITION REQUESTS
1. Mental Health Nurse Clinician
No county dollars are required and the position has a sunset clause if funding stops.
This nurse can prescribe psychiatric medications at less cost than a doctor.
2. Independent Living Skills Coordinator
This position requires no county dollars and has a sunset clause.
3. Computer Services User Support Specialist
This position is approved only if a Client Information System is implemented at the
Health Center. If the position is approved the County's cost is $39,507.00
4. Custodian for Health Center
Presently this position is temporary and needs to be made permanent. County cost
is $30,688.00 with an offset from current funding levels of $7,987.
5. Judicial Assistant
This position is presently filled on a temporary basis and will be made permanent
with the stipulation that if state funding for the position is withdrawn, the position
will be eliminated.
6. Security Officer
This position is needed because new staff hired last year are now entitled to
vacations and the addition of this officer would help cut overtime. County cost is
$30,499.00 which may be offset by increased bunking in the jail complex.
7. Land Conservation - Watershed Special Project
This full - time position requires no county dollars and has a sunset clause.
